Economic crunch affecting plastic surgery? Not in England!

Well there's good news in at least one market... cosmetic plastic surgery is on the rise in Europe!
It looks like paying 8 Euros at the pump hasn't stopped our British friends from discovering the fountain of youth.
According to London (Reuters) , Britains may be feeling the global credit crunch, but that hasn't stopped them from paying thousands of pounds for cosmetic surgery.
Demand for plastic surgery is particularly high among football players and their wives.
Britain's largest cosmetic surgery provider the Harley Medical Group said demand for procedures had grown by 35 percent over the past 10 months.Abdomnoplasty or "tummy tuck" operations, a procedure costing nearly 5,000 pounds ($9,700), were up 59 percent, while breast augmentation surgery swelled 40 percent, it said.
It is interesting to see how we are spending our money. Though we are cutting back in some areas, it seems not so for money spent on ourselves... especially for procedures we've spent months, sometimes years planning.

It truly seems to be the only market where at least something is moving up. It won't be the case here in the States for probably another year. It will get back to normal though with time. During the time where economy is bad people will still spend money, maybe not for the tummy tucks but at least for Botox or injectables. Just a little something to make them feel better
